Who should list an offer for referral partners
Random Income works best for businesses with a proven offer and a buyer who listens to trusted advisors. Our Strategic Partners are professionals who already have jobs, income and networks: consultants, fractional executives, CPAs, wealth advisors, insurance agents, IT and MSP owners, coaches, recruiters, podcast hosts and association leaders. They refer when your offer fits a conversation they are already having.
If you sell to business owners, executives or professionals, and you have a team ready to take a warm introduction and close it, listing an offer for referral partners can open doors your own sales team would struggle to reach. If your offer is still changing every week, or the sale requires licensed and supervised selling, sort that out first; partners need a clear, stable message to repeat.
What to prepare before you post
The form takes minutes. The thinking behind it is what makes partners choose your offer over others, so prepare these five answers in advance.
The description does most of the selling to partners, so write it the way you would brief a trusted colleague. Name the job titles who buy, the moments that trigger a purchase, such as a new location, a funding round or a missed quarter, and the objections your team hears most. Partners use that language to recognize the right conversation, and the matching engine uses it to find the partners whose networks contain your buyer.
- Company information: who you are, where you operate and who on your team will receive and follow up referrals.
- The offer: the product or service in a single sentence a partner can repeat without notes.
- The description: who buys, the problem it solves, the signals that a prospect is a fit and the situations where it is not.
- Average price: a realistic typical deal size, so partners can judge whether an introduction is worth their time.
- What you will pay per sale: the amount you will pay Random Income on each closed sale from a partner referral. Partners receive 50% of what you pay us.
From agreement to matched partners
After you post, we review the opportunity with you. Once we agree, Random Income places your offer in three places at once. It goes into the stack, the catalogue of opportunities Strategic Partners can choose to represent. It goes into the AI matching engine, which compares your buyer and offer with each partner's profile, network, strengths and available hours, so the people most likely to know your buyer see your offer first. And it goes into partner emails, which introduce the opportunity to the partners who match.
Partners who take it on get your offer on their profile page and share link, along with the description and fit signals you wrote. When they spot the right moment, they share the link or upload a referral directly, either one at a time or as a list. That is the point where you see your first lead.
How payment flows between you, us and the partner
The money moves in one direction and only on results. When a referred buyer closes, you pay Random Income the amount per sale you agreed to. Random Income then pays the partner, who receives 50% of what you paid us. You never invoice or pay partners directly, and you never manage their tax paperwork.
Strategic Partners are 1099 independent contractors of Random Income, not your employees and not ours. Before any payout we collect their ID and W-9, and we issue them a 1099-NEC. Partners are paid on the 21st of the month after we are paid, once their balance is at least $500. That predictability matters to you as well: partners who trust the payout keep referring.
This is general information about how our program works, not legal or tax advice. If you sell in a regulated industry, check with your counsel about how referral payments apply to your product before you post.
Find independent sales reps who are already in the room
Many businesses come to us after trying to find independent sales reps on job boards. The problem is that the people who answer a commission-only job ad are usually looking for a job, not bringing a network. Random Income inverts that. The professionals in our network are not looking for work; they are looking for good offers that fit the clients they already serve. A fractional CFO who works with a dozen growing companies, an MSP owner with a book of local businesses or an association leader with a member directory can make a warm introduction that no cold rep could.
The matching engine does the searching. Instead of interviewing reps, you describe your buyer well, set a payout worth a professional's attention and let the right partners find you.
That also changes the economics of finding reps. There are no job ads to run, no interviews to schedule, no onboarding calendar and no draw against commission to negotiate. Your effort goes into the offer and the follow-up, which are the two things that decide whether partners keep referring.
Your business dashboard and referral alerts
Once you are live, your business dashboard shows who is offering your product, so you know which partners are representing you and in which niches. Every lead and referral appears there with its source, and you can follow up each one from the same screen. You also get an email on every referral the moment it arrives, so your team can respond while the introduction is warm.
Respond fast and close the loop. A partner who sees that their introduction was answered the same day refers again. When you want more visibility, Premium at $4,500 a month gives you top placement in your niche and priority in outreach, subject to availability, plus a free contacts.plus business account valued at $1,500 a month. And if your plans are bigger than a sales channel, the Big Idea application at jeff-cline.com/idea lets owners see whether they qualify for a larger technology investment.
