Strategic Partners are never employees. You choose when and whether to refer. Before your first payout you upload a photo ID and a W-9; Random Income issues a 1099-NEC. Check your own employer, licensing and professional rules before referring — and always disclose the relationship.

Strategic Partner questions
Are Random Income Strategic Partners employees?
No. Strategic Partners are 1099 independent contractors — never employees and never W-2. You choose when and whether to refer anyone. To be paid you upload a photo ID and a signed W-9, and Random Income issues a 1099-NEC.
What does a Strategic Partner actually do?
You refer; we do the rest. Share your link or tech-stack page, or load a referral in your back office. Random Income follows up, sells and delivers, and every click, form and quote request is tracked back to you.
How much commission does a Strategic Partner earn?
On our stack: 20% of each payment we collect when the client buys entirely online without help, and 12% when an in-house Random Income rep has to work the deal. If we negotiate the price, the commission follows the negotiated price, never below the redline floor. On offers posted by businesses, partners receive 50% of what the business pays Random Income.
How do commissions work on Fast Start and Joint Venture deals?
On R0cketShip's Fast Start ($32,500 a month) and Joint Venture ($18,200 a month) programs, a partner's percentage applies only to the monthly SaaS fee actually collected — no equity, no success-fee commission and no other upside. Investor-funded (OPM) deals pay a one-time $5,000 referral fee.
When are Random Income commissions paid?
On the 21st of the month following the month Random Income was paid, once your payable balance is at least $500. Payouts go by PayPal, Stripe or manual transfer after your ID and W-9 are on file.
Do Strategic Partners get any perks?
Yes. Anyone with more than 10 sales in a year that create more than $45,000 in payouts to them qualifies for a company car — Random Income pays a one-year lease. The same bar qualifies you for the annual Caribbean development trip. Both are discretionary incentives; your back office shows your progress.
